NEWARK – Licking County’s average home sold price was $236,893 through July this year, up 15.9% over the first seven months of 2018. There were 1,410 existing homes and condominiums sold the first seven months of 2019, up 2% from 2018 when there were 1,382 homes sold in the first seven months of the year, according to the Columbus REALTORS Multiple Listing Service.
“The market in Licking County remains strong, with our average sales price rising. The inventory of homes and condos for sale in Licking County was 428 at the end of July, with a 2.1 month’s supply of inventory. There were 344 new listings that came onto the market in July, compared to 293 in July 2018.
Homes sold in July, spent an average of 21 days on market (from listing to close), down 16% from 25 days in July 2018. Homes going into contract totaled 304 in July.
