MILLERSPORT – Anyone with a Fairfield County District Library card will soon be able to access library materials 24/7 from a kiosk in front of the Millersport Police station on Refugee Road.
The kiosk, which looks like a large modern bus shelter, has been installed. Inside, readers will soon have access to a giant library vending machine. More than 350 popular books, DVD’s and audiobooks will be available to browsers and can be checked out immediately. Customers will also be able to place a hold on more than four million items available in the district library’s catalog and later pick them up at the kiosk.
Free Wi-Fi service will be available in the kiosk, allowing customers to browse and download eBooks and other digital content.
Library cards are available upon presentation of a photo ID with your current address at any Fairfield County District Library. The closest branch is at 205 E. Market Street in Baltimore. Hours are: 1 – 5 p.m. on Sundays; 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. The branch is closed on Saturdays.
