A graveside service, celebrating the life of Lee Edward Heimberger, age 84, most recently of Winchester, VA, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013, in the Kirkersville Cemetery.
Lee passed away July 16, 2013, in Winchester, VA. He was born in Pataskala, on November 22, 1928, to the late Everett and Ruth (Nicodemus) Heimberger. He graduated from Etna High School. Lee married Janice in 1949. He worked for Palmer Tractor Sales until the Army had a different career plan for him in 1951. He served in the Korean Conflict in Germany until returning home and resuming work with Palmer’s. After working for Palmer Tractor Sales for 20 years, the company went out of business and Lee went to work for Dayton Precision Corporation in Heath. He quickly worked his way up the ranks from a factory worker to management, where he retired after 25 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter, Marcia (Miles) Oliver; two sisters, Doris (Leland) Powell of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; and Grace (Richard) Keller of Millersport; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Janice of 52 years of marriage in 2001; his parents, Ruth and Everett; and a brother, Glen.
