Larry Paul “Pete” James




A graveside service celebrating the life of Larry Paul “Pete” James, age 74, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Zanesville Memorial Park, 1475 Military Road, Zanesville where military honors will be observed.

Pete was born August 11, 1941, in Zanesville, to the late John Paul and Dorothy (Cavey) James. He passed away June 30, 2016, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).

Pete retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas where he had been employed for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles 2801 where he was Chaplain and a trustee. He was also a member of the Buckeye Lake VFW Post 1388.

He is survived by his companions of 10 years, Gayle Thomas and Hershey; sons, Greg (Deborah) James of Morenci, Michigan and Brian (Bonnie) James of Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Doug James; and a grandson, Dusty James.
