Larry F. Gemienhardt, age 80 of Thornville, passed away November 23, 2017, in Wytheville, Virginia.
He was born July 9, 1937, in Shawnee.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran; Life member of AmVet Post 51; retired employee of Owens- Corning; he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and his time in Florida
He is survived by his daughter, Carma Jo Dunlap; five sons, David, Larry, Kevin, Brett (Amy) and Greg (Diane) Gemiemhardt; step-daughter, Lisa Shields; cousins, Frank Forester, Bobby Joe Forester, Marlene Rutter and Lee Roy Forester; Uncle and Aunt Burt and Joann Severence; mother of his 6 children, Shirley (Gemienhardt) Cowles; nine grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Gemienhardt; his parents, Bessie and Charles “Buddy” Severence; and his grandson, Scott Clippinger.
Graveside funeral services were conducted November 29, 2017, at Maplewood Cemetery, New Lexington, with Rev Clarence Thompson officiating.
