Kirkersville community thanked for Day of Caring help

Editor:

I would like to thank the Kirkersville community for supporting and joining with Park National Bank in this year’s United Way Day of Caring. This is the second year I have participated in the event, and it was even more rewarding than before. This year, Pastor Glen Gram and fellowship members from Crossway Community Church joined in to help us paint a house for one of our neighbors.

The participation from the community was tremendous this year. I would like to thank Judy Castro (Kirkersville Carry-Out), Brady Burt (PNB), Dan Dodd (State Representative), Pastor Gram and the Crossway church members for helping us paint and County Commissioner Doug Smith. I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank Jo Fedor from the United Way for all of her help getting everything together this year. We also owe a special thank you to Lowe’s for giving us a discount on supplies and Meijers for contributing a gift card to cover lunch expenses.

We had a great time coming together to help someone else, it truly was a wonderful experience for everyone involved. I encourage everyone to learn more about the annual event and get involved!
