Juanita “Nita” Fraser Martin

A private graveside funeral service celebrating the life of Beatrice Juanita “Nita” Fraser Martin, 81, of Hebron, was held November 13, 2007, at Sunbury Memorial Park.

Nita died early November 8, 2007, following an extended illness. She was born in Columbus, on November 2, 1926, the daughter of the late Harvey Joseph and Dorice Dimple Phinney Fraser. She was a graduate of Westerville High School, raised her children in Reynoldsburg and had lived for many years in the Hebron area. Nita loved growing flowers, decorating and was an avid reader and OSU Buckeye fan. She loved her family, and enjoyed being a homemaker. She also enjoyed hiking and collecting arrowheads and other Indian artifacts. She was an active member of the Hebron and Buckeye Lake Senior Citizens.

On September 8, 1945, she married George High Martin in Louisville, Ky. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1991.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Joseph Fraser Jr.; her son-in-law, David Groshong; and her nephew, Duane Cecil Chandler.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Groshong of Bella Vista, AR., Linda (Jack)

Shoemaker of Pickerington, Larry (Renee) of Alexandria and David (Chris) of Reynoldsburg; her grandchildren, Mike, Jason, Corey, Tony, Ben and Stephanie; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, LaNora Elizabeth Current of East Liberty.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville.
