John Willett Clendenin, Jr




John Willett Clendenin,Jr, age 81, of Buckeye Lake, died June 6, 2013, in Newark following an extended illness. He was born in Springville, TN, the son of the late John W. and Margaret E (Nicholson) Clendenin Sr. John Jr. was the last of his seven sisters and brothers. He served honorably in the US Navy as a fire control technician and US Air Force as a bomb navigation repairman during the Korean Conflict; and retired from the Newark AFB after 25 years of honorable service, where he worked in modular repair and the Minuteman test area prior to being advanced to production controller.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (Rosebraugh) Clendenin, whom he married on March 11, 1966; and his children, Kimberly Gunner of Urbana and Mark Clendenin of Newark.

At John’s request there will be no visitation or services locally. Private graveside services will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery, where he will be inurned.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058.
