John R. Cremeans

John R. Cremeans, 69, of Thornville, passed away on June 4, 2012, at his home. He was born on October 3, 1942, in Proctorville, Ohio, to the late Hobart Berton and Mabel Ellen (Mann) Cremeans. John was a racing enthusiast, U.S. Air Force Veteran, and member of the AMVETS Post 51, Thornport.

He is survived by his loving family: three children, Jeff (Kim) Cremeans, Randy (Stephanie) Cremeans, and John K. Cremeans; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Drew, Jessie (Kayla), Tyler, Samantha, Levi, and Brooke; two great-grandchildren, Blake and Jessi; two brothers and two sisters, Bill (Pam) Cremeans, Jack (Stella) Cremeans, Mary White, and Debbie (Jim) Smoot; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Ooten) Cremeans; and his brother, Hobart Berton “Jude” Cremeans.

A funeral service, celebrating John’s life, was held June 6, 2012, at the Thornville home of Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Doug Lynn officiating. Private family burial will be in Lutheran Reform Cemetery.
