John C. Camechis

A graveside service, for John C. Camechis, 55, of Thornville, was held February 29, 2016, at Reid Cemetery, Rushville.

John died suddenly on February 22, 2016, at his home. He was born in Lancaster, on September 1, 1960, the son of the late Jimmie and Gertrude (Schweiker) Camechis. He was a graduate of Fairfield Union High School, and was a self-employed handyman. He had the ability to fix anything.

He is survived by his daughters, Ciaran Derr, Stephanie Patterson and Danielle Camechis; son, Steven Ingledue; grandchildren, Alexa, Jaydon and Ella; sister, Nikki; brothers, Mike (Helen), Jimmie (Sheri), Tony (Susie), Jeff (Julie) and Ron (Laura); and many nieces and nephews.

Edward Stuart Lewis

Edward Stuart Lewis, age 65, formerly of Buckeye Lake, passed away February 15, 2016, in Newark, following an extended illness. He was born in Columbus, on April 10, 1950, the son of the late Cecil Edward and Thelma Mae (Rinehart) Lewis. Ed was a graduate of Marion Franklin High School, Class of 1968, and had served honorably in the US Marine Corps. He retired from Restaurant Equippers in Columbus. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing and, thanks to his friend, John Sheffield, he will be able to go back to his favorite hunting spot one more time this fall.

He is survived by his family: his companion of many years, Becky McCann; son, Jason Schroeder; step-daughter, Renee Mc- Cann; step-son, Brent McCann; brother, Dr. Steve (Melissa) Lewis; sisters, Dianne ( Dr. John) Winnestaffer and Debra (Bob) Elflein; grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by infant daughter, Edie Nicole Lewis; and his parents.

A memorial gathering, celebrating Ed’s life, was held at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, on February 28, 2016.

Ed suffered from a condition known as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. The family prefers that memorials be directed to The Curepsp Foundation, 30 E. Padonna Rd. Suite #201,Timmonium, Maryland. 21093.
