Jeffrey Lynn Cunningham, age 54 of Newark, passed away February 21, 2011, with his family by his side at Autumn at the Lake, Thornville.
He was born on February 15, 1957, in Zanesville, to Edwin H. and Virginia R. (Atkinson) Cunningham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a sports enthusiast, and loved old cars, fishing and classic rock and roll.
Jeff is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Cunningham, Jeremy (Shelly) Cunningham and Dustin Cunningham; 13 grandchildren and step grandchildren; sisters, Melody (Lee) Crader, Cheryl (Mike) Butts, Becky (Tim) Phipps and Marlene (Dana) Pheifer; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends, Rusty Myers, Gail Barcus and Mike Schrider.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Thornville United Methodist Church, 30 East Columbus Street, with Pastor Gerri Lampton, Pastor Doug Lynn and Associate Pastor Dave Preston from South Shore Ministries officiating. There will be a dinner at South Shore Ministries immediately following the service.
