A memorial service celebrating the life of Janit Apple, age 79, of Hebron, was held at Family of Faith Community Church, Newark, on June, 24, 2015, with Pastor Leanne Goff as celebrant. Inurnment will take place in Kirkersville Cemetery at a later date.
Janit was born November 4, 1935, in Union, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Nell (Moore) Bailey. She passed away peacefully June 20, 2015, at her home.
Janit was a long-time active member of Family of Faith Community Church in Newark.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Apple, whom she married June 30, 1972; six children, Teresa (Randy) Small of Newark, Diana (Eric) Gutridge of Heath, Debbie (Mike) Neff of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, Todd (Tonya Hunt) Helsel of Delbarton, West Virginia and Tim (Robin) Helsel of Somerset; son-in-law, Rick Wright of Plano, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Bailey, Jr. of Jesup, GA and Thomas Bailey of Utica; sisters, Roberta (Gil) Kokensparger of Heath and Phyllis Temple of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Wright; and daughter-in-law, Camile Helsel,. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
