A funeral service celebrating the life of James Thomas Collins, Jr., age 61, of Millersport, was held April 11, 2018, at the Hebron home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Jim Daugherty officiating. Burial followed in Hebron Cemetery.
Jim was born August 1, 1956, in Columbus, to the late James T. Collins, Sr. and JoAnne (Meiers) Collins. He passed away April 6, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark.
Jim was employed by Kaiser Aluminum for 10 years. He was a Christian and enjoyed reading his Bible and led several people to the Lord. He loved all sports and played golf and basketball and excelled at many other sports. He was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes, Green Bay Packers and the Lakers. He loved fishing and playing the harmonica.
He is survived by two daughters, Brandi (Dustin) Baker of Utica and Jamie Collins (Brandon Hopkins) of Marne; grandchildren, Alaina and Alexa Baker and Cason, Hailey and Brantley Hopkins; siblings, Sandra Parks of Winchester, Kentucky, Deborah Ann (Rick) Smith of Newark and Michael W. (Tammy) Collins, Sr. of Newark; nieces and nephews, Amy Lynn Turner, Gregory Scott Bonner, Michael W. Collins, Jr., Justin James Lee Collins, Traci Cornett Allen, Tiffany Cornett and Jessica Slone; and cousins too numerous to mention.
