BUCKEYE LAKE – The annual July 3 fireworks spectacular returns after a three-year hiatus on Wednesday, July 3.
The fireworks will be shot from the same Fairfield Beach site as in 2015. The show is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. weather permitting. High winds or lightning could delay or postpone the show.
The biggest change will be the expanded viewing area along the 4.1 mile rebuilt Buckeye Lake dam. Rules will be released for viewing on the new dam depending on the condition of the resown grass. Alcohol will be prohibited from the state-owned new sidewalk to the lake.
Safety and security on the land and water will be provided by ODNR law enforcement officers from throughout central Ohio; the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office; the Buckeye Lake, Hebron and Millersport fire departments; the Buckeye Lake and Millersport police departments; and by the Fairfield and Licking County Emergency Management Agencies. The Granville and Lancaster Posts of the Ohio State Highway Patrol will assist with traffic control.
Your tax-deductible contributions are needed to keep this Buckeye Lake tradition alive. Please send checks made payable to BLASST to P. O. Box 1524, Buckeye Lake, OH 43008. Donations via Pay Pal can be made on BLASST’s Facebook page.
