Winter Returns with a Vengeance


 

 

BUCKEYE LAKE AREA – After a very mild holiday season weather-wise, winter returned to the Buckeye Lake Area as a snowstorm dumped several inches of snow late Monday night and early Tuesday morning. Extremely cold temperatures followed the snowfall.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for the Lake Area beginning Thursday is mostly sunny, with a high near 14. Wind chill values as low as -21. South wind 9 to 13 mph.

Thursday night a chance of snow showers, mainly after 3 a.m. Id possible. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14. Wind chill values as low as -1. Southwest wind 14 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Friday there’s a slight chance of snow showers before 10 a.m. It’ll be mostly cloudy, with a high near 17. West wind 14 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Friday night is forecasted to be partly cloudy, with a low around 0.

 

 

Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 16.

Saturday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 12.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 32, and Sunday night has a chance of snow, cloudy, with a low around 21. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
