Ila A. Mathias




Ila A. Mathias, age 90, passed away peacefully at Heartland Fairfield Nursing Center on January 21, 2012. She was a longtime resident of Baltimore, and member of Christ United Methodist Church, Baltimore.

She is survived by her son, Charles (Judy) Mathias of Pleas- antville; grandson, James K. (Patty) Mathias of Lancaster; granddaughter, Susan (Vic) Collins and great-grandchildren, Christian Collins both of St. Petersburg Florida, Camden (Jackie) Collins of Lancaster; Jamie Lynn (Oliver) Cook of Pleasantville; Montana Mathias of Lancaster; great-greatgrandson, Rohan James Lawrence of Lancaster; brothers-in-law, Ronald Mathias of Spring Grove, IL; Jim (Mary) Mathias, of Baltimore, Paul (Sharon) Mathias of Cambridge, and John (Shirley) Mathias, of Baltimore; sisterin law, Jean Webb of Thurston; several nieces and nephews; and friend, Roxanna Mathias.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold K. Mathias; parents, Frank and Hazel Hayes; brother, Charles R. Stanley; and sisters, Leola Shetrone, and Juanita Mite.

A service was held on January 25, 2012, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore. Burial followed at Union Evangeligal Cemetery.
