JACKSONTOWN – Interstate 70 east and westbound will be restricted starting Thursday, August 8, for work relating to the Canal Road bridge replacement project located between Ohio 37 and Ohio 79.
I-70 will be restricted from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Friday, August 9, for the pouring of the concrete on the bridge, weather permitting.
Paving will begin for this project on Sunday, August 11 through Friday, August 16 during nighttime hours on I-70 westbound from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. I-70 eastbound will be restricted as well from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.
ODOT’s contractor for this $10.5 million project is Double Z Construction Company, from Columbus, Ohio and the completion date for this project is November 30, 2013.
The Ohio 79 southbound entrance ramp to I-70 westbound has reopened.
