Serving all the communities of the Buckeye Lake Region

Horn makes his case for reelection

Dear Residents of Walnut Township:

Thank you for believing in me four years ago and giving me the opportunity to serve you. With enthusiasm and a cooperative spirit, my goal is to make Walnut Township the best place to live now and For the Next Generation…

Through my initiative and leadership:

• The Millersport Fire Department is still serving and providing excellent emergency care. The relationship between Millersport and Thurston-Walnut Fire Departments and Walnut Township has not been better in years.

• EMS billing has brought in $379,000+ since start-up and will be over $200,000+ this year. This represents a 22% increase in the fire department budget at no cost to you! This has allowed updates to critical pieces of equipment resulting in increased patient care.

• Five condemned houses were demolished utilizing grant dollars. Three additional houses are slated for demolition in early 2014.

• Revamped the township website to provide more effective communication. I perform all regular updates at an annual cost savings of $1,700.

With the focus on maturity, professionalism and fiscal responsibility in office as we move into the next term, I look forward to the Trustees and our capable staff working even more effectively to bring about common sense solutions to township government. My goal is and has always been that under my watch you will be heard, given dignity and respect!
