Homer M. Warner

Homer M. Warner, 96 of Lancaster, former resident of Baltimore, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Altercare Valley View Nursing Home. He was retired from Crown-Zellerbach and a member of New Salem United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of the Moose #955, Olivedale Senior Citizens Center. He was an avid Euchre player, Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeye fan.

He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Ellen (Keith) Couch of Baltimore and Janice Ann Hamilton of Lancaster; fivegrandchildren, Suzanne Pettet of Pataskala, Scott (Bev) Couch of Mason, Ohio, Michael Couch of Baltimore, Steven A. (Jennifer Oltman) Lax of Omaha, Nebraska, and Kathleen M. (Craig) Huhn of Pickerington; great grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Pettet, Garrett, Olivia, and Cash Couch, Billy and Ray Lax, Bryan and Hannah Wells, and Tyler and Brooke Huhn; cousin, Leota Elder Andrews of Millersport; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks for his loving care at Altercare Valley View Nursing Home, caregivers at Odyssey Hospice, and FairfieldCareer Center nursing students and instructor. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mildred Alice Warner; parents, Harvey and Mary Jane Warner; two brothers, Ora and Earl Warner; and sister, Sarah Elizabeth Daugherty. Funeral service was held April 14, 2008, at New Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger McElfresh and Marie Duquette officiating. Burial followed in Basil Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore.
