Serving all the communities of the Buckeye Lake Region

Here’s the latest BLASST update

Editor:

The Copper Penny had their annual golf outing headed by Mike Plankenhorn and Mike Diamond. A 50/50 drawing at the 19th hole was split and a $218 donation was given to BLASST. This community and BLASST co-chairs want to thank the golfers and the Copper Penny for their generous donation. A big hug to Emma and the gang from Tory, Marty and I for thinking of us again this year

BLASST T-shirts are done and look great. They were designed by Scott Clark using the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association’s theme for their boat parade – “American Pride.” Tory asked me to explain the shirt design. Becky Borland is being honored this year. She always helped us with our mailings way beyond her duties as Buckeye Lake Postmaster. She was asked to join the board. As her many friends can attest, Becky was always ready to help. Tory says Becky’s encouragement, wth jokes and laughter, kept her on a positive path. Becky is sorely missed.

The center of the heart crest includes the BLACA logo. Tory wanted to honor the Association and its leaders working so hard for the lake area. BLASST and BLACA may be two different entities, but now they are working respectfully as one, side by side.

Last, but not least an eagle was included to thank the Buckeye Lake Aerie 2801 for the years of generous donations. In fact, the Eagle’s donation made it possible for Tory and a small group of volunteers to quit walking door-to-door for contributions. The Buckeye Lake Eagles deserve a big thank you for their continuing support .

These great T-Shirts are just $15 and should be available at: Buckeye Lake Marina, Millersport General Store, Hometown Hotdogs, Buckeye Lake Eagles, Pizza Cottage, CatfishCharley’s, Harbor Hills Country Club, T.C. Market, White Cottage and Copper Penny. We added tanks this year and some children’s sizes as well!

BLASST has come a long way in six years. Each year more people understand how much work and money it takes to produce a one-of-a-kind show like this. No donation is too small and every donation is appreciated. If you are not already on our mailing list, please join your neighbors by sending us a tax deductible check of any amount to: BLASST, 13284 West Bank Dr., Millersport Ohio 43046
Thank You!
Bud Springer (The t-shirt guy)
