A funeral service, celebrating the life of Helen Faye Hall, 75, of Pataskala, will be held Friday, April 16, 2010, at 11:00 am in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastors Connie Taylor and Ray Sunkel as celebrants. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown.
Helen died late Monday evening, April 12, 2010, in Newark following an extended illness. She was born May 10, 1934, in Floyd County, KY, the daughter of the late John and Maggie (Francis) Garrett. She was a lifelong homemaker who loved her grandchildren and babysitting for other peoples’ children. She also loved her flower gardens and was considered to be “Nanny” by many people. She attended Fletcher Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Orville, whom she married on September 26, 1952; her daughters, Brenda (Dana) Kitchen of Hebron and Becky Ankrum (Clifford Northern) of Dearborn, MO; her nephew, Brian Garrett (who she raised like her own son); her grandchildren, Stacy (Kim) Ault and Chelsea Ankrum; her greatgrandson, Wyatt; her brothers and sisters, Tom (Juanita) Garrett, Bertha Stegall, Virgie (Jim) Meisenhelder, Rita (Sam) Skaggs and William (Kathy) Garrett; and many nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, April 15, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E. Main St in Kirkersville, where an on-line guest register and video tribute are available at www.hoskinsonfuneral. com
