Hebron Struck Again

HEBRON – Maybe Mother Nature has a score to settle with the Hebron area.

Last Sunday evening’s long forecasted severe storm left hardy a mark except in Hebron where the strong winds broke the top off of several utility poles carrying high voltage lines along Main Street and over Ohio 79. One pole just east Ohio 79 was snapped in half.

T he damage lef t high voltage lines draped over a Main Street home and across both the exit and entrance ramps for Ohio 79 and the roadway itself. Ohio 79 was closed at U.S. 40 for nearly 48 hours while workers replaced the damaged poles and restrung the power lines. Lakewood cancelled school Monday and some customers lost power for 12-24 hours
