Hard work minimized impact

Editior:

Some times bad things happen to good people and this week’s water line puncture was one of those events.

Due to the hard work of many school district and water department personnel, the line was repaired and service only disrupted for a short period of time. In less than 24 hours, the six-inch water line was repaired, the water was tested by an outside lab, signage advising boil alerts and communications to residents in the immediate area was completed. Never in the time that the line was being repaired were our students in any danger or harm.

The water and street department made sure electric and gas lines were marked by the appropriate authorities so the situation would not become dangerous. Other than some minor inconveniences, school and village personnel made the best of bad situation. There are too many to name individually but those of us that knew what was happening appreciate the work and efforts of everyone involved.
