H. John Bruck

A funeral service for H. John Bruck, 78 of Millersport, will be held Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. at the chapel of Holy Cross Cemetery, 11539 National Road SW, Pataskala, with Pastor Dave DiYanni officiating. Entombment will follow. The family will receive friends onehalf hour immediately prior to the services at 11 a.m. and at a reception following the services at the Vineyard Church, Palmer Road, Reynoldsburg.

John passed away, with his family at his side on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the LPN Nursing Home, Newark, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Columbus o his parents, the late J. John and Wilma Kirchmar Bruck. John was an avid reader and loved baseball, playing the organ and watching television. He had a generous spirit and a kind heart.

He owned and operated National Safe and Security in Millersport before his retirement. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Aladdin Temple Shrine, Magnolia Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post #637 – Millersport, VFW Post #1388 – Buckeye Lake and Fraternal Order of Eagles – Buckeye Lake Aerie #2801.

John is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Lockerman) Bruck of Millersport; his children, Bill (Sue) Bruck of Reynoldsburg, Tom (Shari) Bruck of Granville, Nancy (Fred) Ballard of Cape Coral, FL, Joann (Dave) Creech, Thornville, and Maryann (Dan) Sandusky, Thornville; and his grandchildren, Eric and Zach Creech, Taylor and Riley Bruck and Nathan and Dylan Sandusky.
