Serving all the communities of the Buckeye Lake Region

God bless our Veterans

Editor:

As Veterans Day approaches, we all need to remember why we celebrate their lives. Without our Veterans we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the freedoms and choices we have as Americans. Our very existence all centers around the fact that the American Veteran has made the ultimate sacrifice to either give up his or her life for our country or put his or her life on hold while they proudly serve.

We need to show our patriotism, our Americanism by remembering our heroes, flying our flag, attending a Veterans Day service, and thanking a Veteran. Some of us will go to the parade this Saturday at the VA Hospital in Chillicothe to help Veterans from their rooms to come watch. Some will cook for the VFW Post for Veterans and their families. Some will participate in the many services held on Veterans Day. VFW #1388 Color Guard will participate in three different services on Veterans Day.

The VFW Post #1388 will hold a touching service, at our beautiful memorial, at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Dinner will follow and be free of charge to anyone who wants to come and celebrate with us. Remember all who have served. God Bless Our Veterans and God Bless The United States of America.
