Gloria Jean Hall, 84, of Thornville, passed away October 5, 2014, at her home. She was born on February 14, 1930, in Newark, daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Blake) Loughman. Gloria was a homemaker and loved cooking, gardening (both flower and vegetable) sewing, and crocheting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving family: husband of 57 years, Ellis; children, Anna (Dave) Cox; Ellis Lee Hall; and Geoffrey (Ginger) Hall; seven grandchildren, Amy Thieken, Amanda (Ryan) Lackey, Geoffrey (Ashley) Hall, Gregory (Stephanie) Hall, Garth Hall, Autumn Hall, and Jordan Hall; eight great-grandchildren, Reese Thieken, Luke Thieken, McKenna Dodson, Alec Lackey, Greyson Lackey, Noelle Hall, Kenadee Hall, and Keairah Hall; brother, Richard Loughman; two sisters-inlaw; one brother in law; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Josiah Lewis Hall; and a brother, Earl Loughman, Jr.
Friends may call at the Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main St., on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Gloria’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery, 6004 Linnville Rd., Franklin Township.
