A funeral service celebrating the life of Glen P. Tuggle, 87, of Pataskala, was held October 31, 2009, in the Chapel of the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville. Burial with full military honors followed in the Kirkersville Cemetery.
Glen died early Thursday morning, October 29, 2009, at his home following an extended illness. He was born August 6, 1922, in Swords Creek, Virginia, the son of the late Matthew and Ollie Lee (Dye) Tuggle.
US Army Veteran serving during WWII in the China- Burma- India theaters, as a member of the quartermasters corps. He was a crane operator at Berwick Steel, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Country Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Gahanna.
He is survived by his loving family: Vivian (Larry) Riffey, Shirley (Chester) Dye, Jim (Connie), Deb (George) Murray, Ron (Malinda), Bonnie (Jon) McCabe, Mary Tuggle and families; siblings: Audrey Dye, Dorothy Meade, Beulah Rolen, Burt and Johnny Tuggle; his 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 greatgreat grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell; his sons, Gordon, Larry and Billy; and six siblings.
