Gladys Marie Francis Griffith

A funeral service celebrating the life of Gladys Marie Francis- Griffith,94 of Newark, formerly of Hebron, was July 30, 2007, in the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville with Pastor Mark Shoemaker officiating. Burial followed at Licking Cemetery.

Gladys died early July 27, 2007, in Newark, following an extended illness. She was born September 9, 1912, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Aldra Denzil and Eva Elizabeth Heimlich Francis.

A life long resident of the Hebron area, she was an active member for 54 years of the Licking Baptist Church, Chatterbox Club for over 40 years, and the Missionary Society at Licking Baptist. She loved to fishat Lake Erie with her husband. She dedicated her life to her family and her church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Porky” Griffith on March 3, 1985; her daughter, Darlene Kitzmiller Streacker, and two of her brothers, Nelson and Edward.

She is survived by her sister, Norma Jean Crane of Newark, brother, Robert Frances of Granville; son-in-law, Frank Lewis of Hebron; her two grandchildren; three great and four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
