HEBRON – According to a Licking County Sheriff’s Office press release, on June 11, 12: 56 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Certified Oil gas station (branded as Marathon Oil) at 10257 Lancaster Road (Ohio 37) , Hebron on a robbery call.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with a clerk who said a man later identified as Randall Hoskinson pumped $25.01 worth of gasoline into his truck. He then entered the store, gathered alcoholic beverages and two cartons of cigarettes, and then approached the counter. The clerk attempted to ring up the items on a cash register when Hoskinson told the store’s clerks he was “robbing” them and demanded they give him the money in the register. The clerk resisted and was able to chase Hoskinson out of the store. He then fled the gas station with the stolen cigarettes and gasoline.
Later that day, Licking County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Hoskinson as he was driving. Licking County Sheriff’s Department detectives interviewed Hoskinson, who admitted his role in the robbery.
He was taken to Licking County jail after the interview. Hoskinson’s case will be presented to the Licking County Grand Jury June 16.
