Gary Logan “Goose” Cooper I

A Celebration of Life visitation for Gary Logan “Goose” Cooper I, 63, of Thornville, was held November 1, 2018, at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service.

Gary was born in Newark on September 17, 1955, to the late Thomas Sr. and Mary Kathleen  (Williams) Cooper.  He passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018, with his loving family by his side, at the Altercare Nursing Home in Thornville.

He was a graduate of Sheridan High School, Class of 1973; and had worked as an operator for Operating Engineers Local #18. He enjoyed being outdoors, snow, riding quads, mudrunning and playing softball, along with being with his grandkids and traveling out west, where he liked to pan for gold. He was a big jokester and loved making everyone laugh. He was an adventurous soul, with a wild and loving heart and will forever be missed!

Surviving are his ex-wife, Trenda Cooper; children, Logan (Ren) Cooper, and Karissa (Jared) Carpenter both of Thornville; grandchildren, Case and Cali Cooper and Nova and Gunnar Carpenter; step-daughter, Jenya (Shawn) Whitesel; grandchildren, Hunter and Haylei Whitesel; his siblings, Connie Kreager and Mark (Leslie) Cooper; sister-in-law, Kathy Cooper; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Phil Cooper.
