A memorial service celebrating the life of Frankie Solace, age 87, of Hebron, will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Hebron home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 108 N. 7th Street, Hebron. Friends may call two hours prior to the memorial service on Saturday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Frankie was born in Prosperity, WV, on July 10, 1930 to the late Thomas Solace and Anna (Juszczyk) Solace Massey. He passed away at Heath Nursing Care Center on September 30, 2017.
Frankie proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he was a technician at the Newark Air Force Base. He was a member of the Hebron American Legion Post #285 and the National Rifle Association. He was a volunteer with the Lakewood Athletic Boosters and enjoyed watching Lakewood sporting events. He also enjoyed square dancing, firearms and attending the “Old Guard” yearly reunions in Washington DC.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Irene N. Solace, whom he married June 6, 1959; children, Michael Solace, Timothy (Brenda) Solace, Steven (Heidi) Solace and Kelle Solace Stinson; sister, Rosie Clark; grandchildren, Mitchell Solace Brett Solace, Nicholas Solace, Anna Solace, Dagny Stinson, Kira Stinson and Perie Stinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by siblings, Agnes Arcuri, Nellie Solace, Jennie Figiel, Michael Solace, Bertha Argenbright, Henry Solace and Tony Solace.
