Francis Raymond “Frank” Grimm, 79, of Millersport, died July 16, 2012, at his home following an extended illness. He was born April 22, 1933, in Columbus, the son of the late Francis R. and Celia (Bray) Grimm.
He was a 1952 graduate of Columbus West High School and served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean conflict. He retired after many years with the Columbus Division of Fire. After his retirement, he was a member of the Millersport Volunteer Fire Department and also served as the zoning inspector for Walnut Township. Frank enjoyed working on small engines and loved helping others. He also enjoyed local politics.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Margaret (Adams), who he married on July 28, 1956; his children, Theresa Foster, Christine Morgan (John Travis) and Frank “Chip” (Sherry) Grimm, all of Millersport; grandchildren, Frank (Jessica) Grimm and Nick (Jessica) Grimm, who are both serving in the US Air Force, Kyle and Alexandra Foster and Mindy Morgan; and great-grandchildren Landon, Tatum and Keagan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Grimm.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, at the Millersport home of the Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, 11544 Summerland Beach Rd., with Rev Fr. William B Ferguson as celebrant. Burial with full Military Honors by the Millersport American Legion will follow at Millersport Cemetery.
