Frances “Clemmie” Wykle




A funeral service celebrating the life of Frances “Clemmie” Wykle, 78, was held December 7, 2015, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Jeff Pennington, as celebrant. Burial followed at Fairmount cemetery near Jacksontown.

Frances died December 2, 2015, at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Matoaka, WV, in 1937, to the late Benton and Eula (Tate) Cecil. A loving mother, she loved to read, cook and take care of her family. She also enjoyed spending time at casinos. She was a member of the VFW #1388, Eagles #387 and the AMVETS #51 in Thornville.

She is survived by her loving family: her son, Danny (Conni) Farmer; daughters, Sandra Farmer Taylor, Carol Farmer and Joann Farmer; sisters: Sylvia Newsome and Bonnie Cecil; seven grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; her special companion, Rick Edmonds; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Junior Cecil, Willard Cecil, Bernard Cecil and RD Cecil; and her sisters, Dolly Paul, Dorothy Knight and Nannie Lowe.
