With this being our 70th anniversary celebration, the Millersport Lions Club and Durant Amusements are offering families a “Midway Ride Special Coupon” good for $2.00 off each wristband purchased during the ride specials on August 31 and September 1 5:00 – 11:00 pm and on September 3 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Coupons can be downloaded and printed at home from our website: www.sweetcornfest.com
Upon arriving at our large midway this year we hope patrons notice a new layout, more rides and a much larger venue. This past spring we extended the midway an additional 100 feet to give our guests a much better riding experience, reduce lines, and improve emergency access. Plus the ticket booths will be able to process credit card purchases or guests can utilize the numerous ATMs scattered throughout the park.
For the first time ever, patrons to the Sweet Corn Festival will be able to ride an elephant as well as observe and learn about Asian elephants and Bengal tigers in a performance area just east of the historic Charles Holliday Covered Bridge at Historic Lions Park. Our guests will be impressed with the free daily shows put on by Franzen Performing Animals where all animals respond to voice commands. This nationally touring company is licensed by the Unites States Department of Agriculture.
Thanks to the Millersport High School Art Department and students for donating their “one-of-a-kind” corn throne to us. Created by a group of talented local students and famous Fairfield County artist Ric Leichliter, patrons this year will want to make it a “must see” when strolling through Founders Commons on the way to purchase souvenirs, major prize tickets and our delicious sweet corn. We have created a new “selfie spot” inside the Major Prize Building where guests can sit on the throne and take their own photo in front of a beautiful backdrop of an Ohio cornfield. Take as many photos as you wish and send them out via social media.
Join us for four days of ear-resistible fun!
