BALTIMORE – The festival is cancelled for this year, but the 23th Annual Baltimore Festival 5K Road Race is still set for Saturday, August 9.
Race-day registration begins at 7 a.m. in Johnson Park with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. Signs will be posted to direct participants from all directions to Johnson Park.
The 5K (3.1 mile) running event takes place on paved and patrolled residential streets in Baltimore. All runners will receive free parking. This race is for serious runners, joggers, and walkers. There are both overall awards and age group awards. Advance registration is $18, with race day registration $25. T-shirts will be given to The first 300 runners registered receive t-shirts. Water and fruit are provided at the finish line. Fine door prizes from area businesses will be awarded.
A 300 meter Kids’ Fun Run is set for 8:15 a.m. This run is intended for younger. less experienced runners and ribbons will be passed out to all finishers. The $5 race day registration fee helps support a scholarship in memory of former Liberty Union runner Jamey Landis.
