Serving all the communities of the Buckeye Lake Region

Everybody is invited to the Sweet Corn Festival

We encourage all of the readers of The Beacon to set some quality family time aside on August 29 thru September 1 to make some new friends, visit with neighbors and support their own community’s many charitable organizations operating fundraising booths at the Sweet Corn Festival.

In this fast-paced, hectic, busy world we live and work in today, it should be refreshing to know that there is still a place to relax in a shady grove, eat a bounty of quality foods, rest a spell on a picnic table, and listen to the best music this side of Nashville. Historic Lions Park in Millersport is the perfect setting for one of the best venues to unwind and spend rewarding time with family and friends.

For 61 years you have supported us with your attendance and participation. Most of the community organizations involved in the event rely on your purchases to help them raise the bulk of their charitable funds to support the multitude of projects they undertake in your own community year-round. The Festival continues its long tradition of being one of the largest fundraising projects operated, staffed and organized by volunteers.

So gather up the kids, grandkids, spouse, partner or lover and plan to spend several hours or several days with us eating an ear of dripping corn, kicking up your heals square dancing, clapping for your favorite marching band in the parade, strolling thru Heritage Village, competing in a quirky contest, or howling at Mel Tillis or Mark Wills at the main stage. It’s a fun place for people that like to have fun.

The members of the Millersport Lions Club invite you to join us for this year’s big event and see why the Sweet Corn Festival is Earresistible!
