Everett Earl “Skeeter” Albin, III, age 41 of Baltimore, passed away May 10, 2017, at his residence. He was a veteran of the US Navy as a submariner on the USS New York City serving on the decommission crew. While as a submariner, he stood as the helmsman and planesman watch (he drove the sub).
Skeeter was a member of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 where he was a past commander, and Buckeye Lake VFW Post 1388. He loved to cook, the Indianapolis Colts football team, his family, growing hot peppers and making hot sauce. He was a graduate of Liberty Union High School, Class of 1994.
Skeeter is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Michelle; sons, Everett Earl Albin, IV and Luke Michael Albin both of Reynoldsburg; step-daughter, Paige Blosser of Baltimore; mother and step-father, Kathryn E. “Kathi” (Dale) Ferger of New Milford, Pennsylvania; sister, Heather Renae (William) Dutchess of Reynoldsburg; brother, Andy (Heidi) Albin of Pataskala; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jon and Linda Hiles; sister-in-law, Mysti Wilson of Baltimore; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Mark Manson, Jason Schaffner and Eric Frakes; and other special friends and shipmates.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Earl Albin, Jr.; and grandparents, Everett Earl (Dorothy) Albin, Edward Kope (Edith) Tanner, Micki and Bob Mason.
Funeral service was held May 16, 2017, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with Chaplain Mark Pierce officiating. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 and Buckeye Lake VFW 1388 conducting military rites at the cemetery.
