Evelyn G. Wooster

Evelyn G. Wooster, age 98, a life-long resident of Baltimore, passed away November 20, 2014, at Crestview Manor Nursing Home. She was employed at Delong’s Flower Shop for 12 years, and acted as coordinator for the Fairfield County Speech and Hearing Clinic for nine years. She was on the National Honor Society sponsored by Liberty Union High School; and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Ladies Oriental Shrine-Thea Court in Columbus, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Ohio, Tarhe Squaws in Lancaster, 50-year member of the Parthenia Chapter #124 Order of Eastern Star in Baltimore, served as organist nine years, Yuletide Temple #404 Pythian Sisters of Millersport, and VFW Post 3761 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter, Dian King of Baltimore; grandchildren Kenneth (Linda) King of Albany, Ohio and Susan King of Bremen; great-grandchildren Matthew King and Marshall King; great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Wooster of Baltimore; sister-in-law, Mary Olvey of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Wooster; son, Paul L. Wooster; parents, John and Leota Fenstermaker; and brothers and sisters.

A graveside service was held November 24, 2014, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, with Rev. Jill Dunlap of Trinity United Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements were handled by the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore. To send an online condolence, and sign the guestbook, please visit
