Emmet L. Mahel




A funeral service for Emmet L. Mahel, 83, of Baltimore, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, with Keith Green officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Union Evangelical Cemetery near Baltimore.

Emmet died February 17, 2015, in Lancaster. He was born March 26, 1931, in Morgan County, Ohio, the son of the late Clarence and Hallie (Smith) Mahel. He served honorably in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after a career with Western Electric in Columbus. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

He is survived by his loving family: son, Rex (Sherrie) Mahel of Grove City; daughters, Vickie (Dickie) Dailey of Maryville, TN and Valerie Tokeshi of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Cory (Lonni), Tyler (Jamie), Kendra and Kirsten; great grandchildren, Brayden and Ella; and very special nephews, Kevin, Stevie and Tony. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
