Edson G. Kindler

Edson G. Kindler, age 64, of Hebron, passed away on September 28, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 22, 1951, in Lancaster, to the late Darwin and Mary Jane (Graham) Kindler.

Edson was Vice-President of South Central Power Company. He was a 1969 graduate of Lancaster High School and received his Masters Degree of Business from Ohio University, graduating with honors.

Edson’s wife, Ann was his most treasured thing on Earth; his integrity was a close second. He never broke a rule and had the respect of his peers and especially his family. Edson provided not only a wonderful life for his family, but provided an example of how to live that would affect his children for the years to come. He loved his grandchildren and lived to see them smile day in and day out. He enjoyed golf above all other activities. From the game to the gear, he built clubs for friends and family and played thousands of rounds of golf during his life.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ann E. (Barnhart) Kindler, whom he married on September 16, 1978; a son, Christopher G. (Charity) Kindler of Heath; a daughter, Carie A. (Caleb) Garza of Glenford; and four grandchildren, Madilynn and Elliana Kindler and Hallie and Elias Garza.

A memorial service was held October 4, 2015, at the Harbor Hills Country Club clubhouse. Memorial contributions may be made in Edson’s name to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, 460 West Tenth Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210.

The Heath Chapel of Henderson Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark assisted the family with arrangements.
