E. Kay Ballantine



E. Kay Ballantine, 82, of Glenford, passed away at her home on February 24, 2016.

Kay was born March 25, 1933, in New Concord, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leo and Pauline McNeil Noble.

She was a 1951 graduate of New Concord High School and a graduate of Muskingum College. Kay was a retired teacher from Sheridan High School where she taught Biology. She was also a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church of Glenford.

She is survived by her children, Ken (Susan) Ballantine and Karen (Jack) Swinderman of Glenford; her seven grandchildren, Craig (Debbie) Ballantine, Stephanie (Craig) DesRosiers, Carrie (Jason) Timko, Jessie Swinderman, Abby (Marcus) Pardon, Jack (Taylor) Swinderman and Hillary (Desmond Farrell) Ballantine; 11 greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Buck” Ballantine; her brother, Rex Noble; and her sister, Carole Noble Vance.

Funeral service was February 29, 2016, at the Hopewell United Methodist Church, Glenford, with Pastor John Edwards officiating. Burial followed in Highland Cemetery, Glenford.
