Donors supply Millersport flags

Editor:

Please accept my deepest and sincere apologies for the tattered and torn flags in the Village of Millersport. They are now two years old and the wind, rain, snow, and sun have definitely beaten them. We were trying to leave the flags flying high through Sept. 11 to show our respect, but unfortunately the Village of Millersport received too many calls about the flags’ condition. Again, I apologize.

Donations from businesses and residents pay for the flags flown with pride in our village. Approximately 100 flags line Millersport’s streets.

We are very grateful to Gilbert Arnold and his helper this year, Kim, for putting up the flags for us. Gilbert and his wife, Connie, always help with the planters around the village, ensuring the flowers are planted and looking nice. This year, Mrs. Janet Neeley watered the flowers daily.

These people and many others donate their time, money, and effort to make the Village of Millersport a nice place to own and operate a business and raise a family. I would like to thank everyone again who supports us in our efforts to keep our community looking nice. We appreciate all the hard work and efforts from everyone involved.

I would also like to thank my husband, Allen, for doing so much for me. I’m very blessed! Thank you!
