Donna Mae Richardson, age 60, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Saturday, February 21, 2015, while at Summit’s Trace Healthcare Center of Columbus. Donna, beloved mother, daughter, and sister, was born June 20, 1954, in Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Irene Richardson of Medina; and by a brother, Vernon Wilson Richardson of Belgreen, Alabama. Donna is survived by the joy of her life, beloved son, Anthony Ray Richardson of Columbus, and his fiancée, Amy Helms, also of Columbus; brothers, Roger D. Richardson of Lancaster, Timothy G. Richardson (Opal) of Orrville, and James Ray Richardson, of Brunswick; her sisters, Kathy G. Romeo (Phillip) of Blacklick, and Sharon L. Cosby of Buckeye Lake; six nieces; and four nephews.
Donna was a member of Medina Assembly of God and loved her pastor, Rev. Ron Dress. She relocated to Southeast Ohio and attended church at Trinity Life Center of Pickerington, where her pastors were Rev. Scott and Linda Kelso.
To know Donna, was to love Donna. She never met a stranger, and she never left you without a smile on your face. Although burdened with health issues most of her life, Donna was always the life of the party, bringing laughter and joy to others. Although given only months to live back in 2007 with Stage 4 Renal Carcinoma, Donna trusted the Lord to heal her, and surely He did. She enjoyed such robust health after healing prayer that she was able to be a great assistant caregiver to her disabled father. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held in Spring with the date and location to be announced later. Arrangements are entrusted to Day & Manofsky Funeral Service.
