A funeral service celebrating the life of Donald Lee Bobo, 68, of Crooksville, formerly of Columbus, will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville with Pastor Walter Bruah as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Kirkersville Cemetery.
Donald died April 17, 2011, following an extended illness. He was born March 6, 1943, in The Plains, Ohio, the son of the late Carlos and Dorothy (Potts) Bobo. He worked for Capitol Spring Company in Columbus as a skilled machinist for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Alma Jean (Caldwell) whom he married on March 6, 1965; his daughters, Linda Quattlebaum of Grove City, Donna (Curtis) Stapleton of Corning, Carolyn (John) Arthurs of New Holland and Catherine (Dennis) Taylor of Grove City; his sons, Donald (Debbie) of Somerset and Jerry (Linda) of Glenford; his 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Jerry, Charles and David; his sisters, Alice, Carolyn, Sharon and Wanda; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine.
