Funeral services, celebrating the life of David Lee Flowers, 74, of Thornville, were held January 20, 2018, in the Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Orrey Mc- Farland as celebrant. Burial followed in the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery.
David passed peacefully January 18, 2018, just after midnight, with his family at his side. He was born March 13, 1943, in Zanesville, the son of the late Dean and Mary (Harmon) Flowers. He was intelligent and successful in his work life; his job was always very important to him.
He also loved working on and building cars, NASCAR, travel, racing with his grandson, boating with his granddaughters and spending time with his family. Most of all, David was known as a kind, caring and very loving person.
He is survived by his loving family: wife, Glenda, whom he married on October 16, 1965; his sons, Matthew and Todd (Erin); grandchildren, Nathan, Ava Grace and Marlowe Kate; his sister, Janet (Paul) Coconis; and brother, Robert (Teresa) Flowers.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to the American Lung Association.
