David John Therrien

A funeral service celebrating the life of David John Therrien, age 61, of New Lexington, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Matthew Van Winkle officiating. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 56 South Main Street in Thornville.
David was born on April 12, 1958, in Arlington, Massachusetts to the late Arthur and Grace (Vallarelli) Therrien. David passed in peace on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Mount Aloysius in New Lexington where he had been a resident for many years.
David had a passion for life. He was employed at PERCO from 1992-2018 and also spent several years working for the Maintenance Department at Mount Aloysius. He loved music of all kinds and was an avid professional wrestling watcher from the time he was a small boy, often watching with his maternal grandmother, Noni, and continuing throughout his life. David loved race cars, especially red ones. David also enjoyed participating in Special Olympic events including bowling and basketball.
He is survived by his brother, Arthur; loving nieces, Maria (Therrien) Gonzalez and Melissa (Therrien) Martel; his aunt, Mary Vallarelli; numerous cousins; and many friends at Mount Aloysius.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony.
