As Licking County Auditor, I have known Joseph Hart for a number of years and have been consistently impressed with his commitment to professionalism in local government.
Joe’s wisdom and good judgment have served the residents of Licking Township and all of Licking County well. Joe exemplifies honesty, fairness, and thoughtfulness in critical day-to-day decisions and in planning for the future.
One of the ways I have witnessed Joe’s conscientious manner is through his involvement with the Licking County Land Reutilization Corporation, or “Land Bank.” My office contracts with the Land Bank for the day-to-day operations of the organization, which benefits the entire county. The Land Bank is a nonprofit community development corporation whose mission is to acquire vacant, abandoned, tax-delinquent properties and make them productive again. When the Land Bank was formed in 2016, Joseph Hart was chosen by the Licking County Treasurer, Olivia Parkinson, and County Commissioners, Tim Bubb and Duane Flowers, to join the board and represent the townships of Licking County. Joe consistently offers significant insight at the meetings and was invaluable during the early stages of development.
A good township trustee has knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the township, is actively engaged, has the courage to make difficult decisions, and is a good listener. Joseph Hart embodies all of these characteristics and therefore deserves the support of Licking Township’s residents for reelection as Trustee.
