Clara C. “Kitty” Flowers, age 82 of Thornville, died May 2, 2016, at her residence. She was born February 27, 1934, in Lancaster, daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Hyme) Shaw. She was an upholsterer and seamstress, formerly employed by Woods Interiors.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bob Flowers; children, Marty (Mark) Ratcliff, of Amanda, Brian (Chris) Landfried, of Carroll, Mike (Julie) Landfried, of Rockbridge, Carrie (Lori) Wisecup, of Amanda, Gale (Tonya) Flowers, of Gahanna, and Linda McKitrick, of Pataskala; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Kessler and Dootie (Paul) Rhymer, both of Lancaster; brother, Jerry (Charlotte) Shaw, of Rockbridge; sister-in-law, Viola Shaw, of Lancaster; and special friends, Allen New, Dave Berkey, Judy and Gibbey Osborn. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Henry “Hank” Landfried; brother, Paul D. Shaw; and grandson, Jason Herron.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Sheridan Funeral Home, with Pastor Gale Flowers officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery.
