Funeral services for Charles D. “Chuck” Cameron of Glenford were held November 4, 2015, at Brucker-KIshler Funeral Home, Newark, with Pastor Dan Lawrence and Terry Carter presiding. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown, with Military Honors rendered by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Mr. Cameron, age 63, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 21, 1952, in Denver, Colorado, the son of the late Delbert and Rena (Gibbs) Cameron. Chuck was a highly decorated veteran who served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and beyond. He was also named Licking County Veteran of the Year for 2015. After serving his country, he was employed at D.C.S.C, Columbus, from where he retired as a computer systems analyst. His hobbies included fishing, reading and traveling with his wife, Connie. Together they were members of First Baptist Church, Heath.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 36 years, Connie Cameron; children, Chase (Elizabeth) Cameron of Dayton, Chelsea (Matt) Wolf of Tampa, FL and Lori Heskett of Newark; grandchildren, Nathan and Amber Heskett and Elaina and Leah Cameron; great grandchild, Trenton; sisters Mary Beth (Paul) Campbell of CO and Susan Holck of CO; brother, Gary Bateman of AZ; nieces and nephews; and many friends including special friend, Bob Harris of CO.

In addition to his parents; sister, Beverly Davis; and son, Conan Charles Cameron preceded Chuck in death.
