Charles A. Elliott, Jr.



Charles A. Elliott, Jr., passed away Monday, October 27, 2009, at The Fairfield Medical Center.

He was an auctioneer for 41 years and a lifetime farmer, owner of Buckeye Farm Drainage and Elliott Trucking. He was a former Walnut Township Trustee, and was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, the Baltimore Masonic Lodge #475 where he was a Past Master of the Lodge and served as secretary for 17 years. He was also a member of the Parthenia Chapter OES #124, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, and Shriners of North America. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a Life member of Liberty Union Post 3761, a member of the American Legion Post 0009, and a charter member of Weidner’s Corner.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna Mae Elliott of Baltimore; daughters, Diane (Dave) Richards of Baltimore, Caryl (Tony) Caito of Baltimore, and Cyndi (Terry) Roberts of Baltimore; grandchildren, Dane and Dessi Richards, and Kayleigh and Cassidy Caito; nieces and nephew, John Kirwin, Sondra McCabe, and Debbie Bergstrom; and loving companion “Rusty”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Stella Elliott; son, Charles David Elliott; three sisters, Evadelle McCabe, Daphne Brooking, and Faye Doss.

A service will be held at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore on Friday, October 30, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Floral Hills Memorial Garden following the service. Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Baltimore Masonic Lodge #475 will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
